I haven't put hers on my face but I slather it on my elbows and hands, which get really cracked in winter and they don't irritate it at all. I used to not put on lotion because it hurt my hands, they were so dry. Now I'm not as afraid of it with real oil-based lotions (which hers is, being mostly olive oil...)
