My First Convention

This past weekend was exhausting. I walked a minimum of 5 miles a day within theĀ glass building of the Baltimore Convention Center. Why? Because I was attending Otakon, an anime convention, my very first convention. I don’t want to go into too much detail since I’m exhausted and because there is just so much to write about.

So here are just a few highlights:

  • Got Peter Beagle’s autograph (author of the Last Unicorn).
  • Attended a panel dedicated to Hayao Miyazaki.
  • Chased after cosplayers like a fan crazed maniac.
  • Pestered the artists of Artist Alley about their pretty art.
  • Traded lots of green paper for lots of pretty art.
  • Evacuated the convention center due to a fire.
  • Watched Ponyo for the very first time!
  • Mourned over lack of decent A:TLA cosplayers.

And here are some of my favorite cosplays I saw at Otakon. No, I did not dress up this year, but I’m thinking about it next year xD

Gundams vs. Transformers
Mortal Kombat Cosplays
Fullmetal Alchemist Cosplay

Villains of Batman

You should definitely check it out. I hear the west coast convention is great. I hope that I’ll be able to check it out one day… but it would have to be a long trip since I live on the east coast, lol.

Wow, that sounds fun! I went to an anime convention when I was in high school but I haven’t been to one since. Maybe I’ll go to one soon! That would be fun. :D I can’t wait to see pictures.

I would love to post pictures but WP is still giving me a hard time. I can upload them perfectly, but they image breaks when inserted into a post -___-;; I might have to go the old fashion way of uploading outside of WP, sigh.

I’d love to attend a real anime con one day . . . though I think I’d end up going to a yaoi con instead since I’m a big fangirl of yaoi XD

And that’s odd about your WP acting up like that. Hmmm.

Not sure, but it is driving me nuts. I’m tempted to delete and reinstall, but I’m not quite sure how to do that without losing my current blog posts.
